Emily Peterson is the founder and sole director of Select Law. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (with Honours) and a Bachelor of Science (majoring in astrophysics) from Monash University (Victoria). Emily was admitted to the Dean’s Scholars list in 2003. After completing three seasonal clerkships at top tier Melbourne law firms (ie, Allens Arthur Robinson, Arnold Bloch Leibler (ABL) and Mallesons Stephen Jaques), Emily accepted a position at ABL as an articled clerk in 2006. Emily was thereafter admitted as a solicitor in Melbourne, Victoria and continued working at ABL as a litigation solicitor until mid-2008.
During her time at ABL, Emily earned a solid reputation as a talented Melbourne solicitor and worked on various high profile cases (both in Melbourne and Sydney). In her final year at Monash University, Emily worked at the Springvale Monash Community Legal Centre assisting disadvantaged people with various legal issues.
